Rotary Pressure Cutting Dies

RotoMetrics' Rotary Pressure Cutting (RPC) Dies convert folding cartons using two flexible dies running on special magnetic cylinders. This innovative cutting technology offers significantly longer die life than crush cut methods, with applications that include folding cartons, pharmaceutical cartons, liquid packaging, food sleeves and more.

Specifications/Requirements:

• Standard plate height of .035" (0.89mm)
• Uses special magnetic cylinders featuring all high strength magnets
• Requires a die station specifically designed for RPC cutting- preferably one that does not have bearers on the magnetic cylinders. (Please note: A conventional label die station cannot be used for RP cutting because it is not rigid enough.)
• Prior to manufacturing your RPC Dies, RotoMetrics will ask to perform a material evaluation to determine the crease specification. As with crush cut technology, this evaluation will also be used to determine the cutting specifications
• RotoMetrics can provide RPC Dies to converters who previously used RPC systems from another manufacturer. Drawings of your magnetic cylinder are needed for the mounting system, as well as the diameters of the cylinders
